Hey, I’m Danny Harrell, the lead pastor here at Covenant Park Church, and it’s my privilege to share our heart with you. Our church exists for a single, powerful purpose: to gather our community in Madison and Morgan County to make Jesus known. This mission is the “why” behind everything we do, from our Sunday worship services to our community events. For those who already know Jesus, we encourage you to continue diving deeper into your faith through worship, prayer, and reading God’s Word.

If you’re new to faith or don’t yet have a relationship with Jesus, we want to introduce you to the one who can forever change your life. The Bible tells us that since the beginning, sin has separated humanity from God. We often think we can bridge that gap by trying to be “good enough,” but the reality is that we’ve all fallen short. The good news is that God had a rescue plan. He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, who lived a perfect, sinless life and ultimately died on the cross, not because we deserved it, but as a free gift of love while we were still in our sin.

Beginning a relationship with Jesus isn’t complicated; it starts with a conversation. The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. When Jesus died on the cross, He took the sin of the world upon Himself, and when He walked out of the grave three days later, that sin was defeated and left behind. Whether you’re a long-time believer or someone just starting to ask questions, we want you to know there is always a seat for you at the table here at Covenant Park.
