Trunk or Treat Volunteers
Covenant Park’s Annual Trunk or Treat will be October 15th. This event is one of our most popular outreach events. It brings our community together and is nothing but FUN! In order to make this event possible, we are in need of volunteers!
There are two ways that you can volunteer:
- Host a Trunk: Decorate your trunk and hand out candy (provided for you) This year our goal is to have 40 trunks!
- Give an hour of your time to help with a station (and still have an hour to enjoy the event!), or help with set up or breakdown.

Building Update – 9/13/23
Here we GROW!
On Wednesday, August 16, Pastor Danny shared a timeline of events with the church that has lead up to the start of our new church building on Mary Magnan Blvd. It has been a long journey so far, but we officially broke ground on September 13! We hope you will periodically check in on the “News” section of the website as we post progress on the church building. We hope that you continue to pray for us and this project!
New Service Times
Starting Sunday, September 10, we will offer an 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 service to allow more room for our community to gather to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. Each service will have the same order of worship. We will have Nursery, Toddler, Pre-K and K-5th for all three services and Student worship during the 10:00 and 11:30 services.
We encourage you to attend one service and serve at one service! There are many needs for volunteers each week such as children’s workers, parking lot crew, ushers, communion servers, and cafe. Where you can serve?

LIFE GROUPS
Middle and High School Life Groups meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from 6-8pm. Dinner will be provided and we ask for a $5 donation. Both groups start with music and worship in the sanctuary and then break out into their individual groups.
STAY CONNECTED
The best way to received updates from Pastor Blake is to join the GroupMe app. Text Blake at 678-763-8676 with your name, student’s name and download the GroupMe app where you will receive an invitation to join the group. Make sure to turn on notifications. This is where all communication is done for all things Student Ministry related.

Children’s Ministry Volunteers Needed
Pastor Danny informed our church family yesterday morning about adding a 3rd service to Sunday mornings. Due to the many people in our current service times, we have decided to add an 8:30 service to allow more room for others to join. Our new service times will be 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 starting Sunday, September 10th. With that, we are in need of more kids ministry volunteers.
You will notice the “Say Yes” wall near our kids check in. You can visit this wall to see available volunteer opportunities within our kid’s ministry. You can “Say Yes” to where you’d like to serve and leave your contact information for our kids ministry team to reach you. This wall also serves as a visual for us to see who currently serves in the kid’s ministry, along with when and where they serve. As you “Say Yes” to serving, your name will be placed on the “We Said Yes” board as well.
We would love to see our parents at Covenant Park Church serving in our Kids Ministry. With 3 services, you may choose to serve 1 or 2 services and attend a 3rd service. You may also choose to serve once or twice a month. We need teachers and substitutes for all ages Nursery- 5th Grade.
Please keep in mind there will be at least 2 volunteers in each classroom. All class volunteers will be provided a lesson plan and materials for Sunday. The lesson will be sent to the volunteer mid week prior to their serving time. This allows time for volunteers to see what the kids will be learning in class Sunday. Also, lessons will have a link to the actual bible story so class volunteers will not have to “teach” themselves. All activity materials, what to say and do will be provided as well.
You will love serving in our Kids ministry! Kids ministry volunteers make huge impacts in kids’ lives. We have had a total of 310 different kids attend our church since May. WOW! An average of 140 kids attends weekly. We’ve had several kids in the past month accept the Lord and plan to follow Him in baptism. That’s what it’s all about, church family!
