Covenant Park Kids Christmas Performance
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we can’t wait to celebrate the birth of Jesus with our annual Kids Christmas Performance! This year, our kids (from 3-year-olds through 5th grade) will be presenting “Uncertain Poor Shepherds.”
This special musical takes a look at that famous night in Bethlehem from the shepherds’ point of view. Can you imagine what they were feeling? From seeing bright lights in the sky to hearing the angels sing, our kids will tell the story of Jesus’ birth in a fun and worshipful way!
Parent & Rehearsal Information
Getting ready for the big day takes practice! All children (3yo–5th grade) are invited to perform. Please sign up by the deadline so we can get everyone ready!
🗓️ Sign-up Deadline: November 16 (Required)
🎭 Performance Day: Sunday, December 21
⏰ Performance Times: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM Services
3 & 4-Year-Olds
- Regular Practice: Sunday mornings during their regular class time leading up to the performance.
- Additional Practice: Saturday, December 20th at 9:00 AM in the Sanctuary.
K–5th Grade Students
- Regular Practice: Sunday mornings during Treehouse.
- Mandatory Practices (Sanctuary):
- Wednesday, December 10 – 6:00 PM–7:30 PM
- Wednesday, December 17 – 6:00 PM–7:30 PM
- Saturday, December 20 – 10:00 AM–12:00 PM Please note: This is the final Dress Rehearsal!
Speaking Parts (1st–5th Grade)
- Speaking parts are optional! If your 1st–5th grader is interested, please indicate that when you register.
- Speaking Practice: During the 9:00 AM service hour each Sunday leading up to the performance.
- Requirement: Students with speaking parts must attend the 9:00 AM service hour for practice AND all three mandatory practices (Dec 10, 17, & 20
Performance Day Details (All Performers)
- All participating students will perform during both the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services on Sunday, December 21st.
- Once the 11:00 AM performance is complete, parents may check their child out from their class.
