SUMMARY:Celebrate Recovery
DESCRIPTION:Find Hope and Healing at Celebrate Recovery\nWhat is Celebrate Recovery?\nCelebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered\, twelve-step program that offers hope and healing to people struggling with hurts\, habits\, and hang-ups. Whether you’re dealing with addiction\, codependency\, relationship issues\, or any other life challenge\, Celebrate Recovery provides a safe and supportive environment where you can find freedom from your past. Through sharing your experiences\, receiving encouragement\, and applying biblical principles\, you can learn to overcome your struggles and live a life of victory. \nHow does Celebrate Recovery Work?\nCelebrate Recovery is based on the Eight Principles of the Beatitudes\, which provide a framework for understanding and addressing our struggles. Through weekly meetings\, we share our experiences\, strengths\, and hopes with others who are also on the journey of recovery. We also learn about God’s love and grace\, and how to apply His principles to our lives. \nA typical meeting looks like this: \n\nDoors will open at 5:30 each Tuesday with refreshments served in the lobby\nThe CR meeting will start promptly at 6:00\n\nThe first 30 minutes will include worship and a lesson or testimony\nSmall groups will meet immediately afterwards\n\n\n\nHow to Get Involved:\n\nAttend a Meeting: Our meetings are open to anyone\, regardless of their background or the nature of their struggles. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to experience the freedom and healing that God offers.\nContact Us: If you have any questions or need more information\, please contact Karen Young at celebraterecovery@covenantparkchurch.org or 706-438-1288.\nFollow the Covenant Park Celebrate Recovery Facebook page for the latest updates\, announcements\, and encouragement.\n\nCelebrate Recovery is a life-changing program that can help you find hope\, healing\, and a new way of living. We invite you to join us on this journey of recovery and discover the freedom that comes from following Christ. Are you ready to take the next step? \nI’m ReadyFAQ:\n\nIs there a cost for the program? Do I have to purchase any books/materials?\n\nThere is no cost to attend and while not required\, resources are available to purchase at the meeting.\n\n\n\n\nIs there a minimum age requirement?\n\nCurrently\, we are only offering an adult class for ages 18 and over.\n\n\n\n\nHow long does a meeting last?\n\n1.5 hours\n\n\n\n\nIs childcare provided?\n\nYes\, we will have basic\, drop-in care.\n\n\n\n\nHow long does the program take?\n\nThe program is never ending\, each calendar year we will cover 26 lessons.\n\n\n\n\nWhat if I’m not ready to share my story?\n\nThat’s perfectly fine! You are not required to share anything you are uncomfortable with during the meeting or small group time. You are required to protect every attendee and their information by never sharing who\, what\, or anything else about the meeting.\n\n\n\n\nAre the meetings confidential/anonymous?\n\nYes\, this is a protected environment.\n\n\n\n\nCan I smoke?\n\nThere will be a designated smoking area outside\, away from the building.\n\n\n\n\nDo I have to be a Christian to attend?\n\nNo\, but I’ll bet you will be before you leave.\n\n\n\n\nAre firearms permitted?\n\nFirearms are not permitted inside the building except for those individuals that have been assigned to protect the service by CR leaders.\n\n\n\n\nWhat if shows up from my past shows up? Are there any security measures in place?\n\nIt is the number one priority of the entire CR Staff to protect our meeting environment and all those attending.
